Prince of the Power of the Air (Ephesians 2:1-10)

In this sermon we are going to be looking at Satan as the prince and the power of the air. The purpose of this sermon is to use a radio and radio waves as an example to show the power of the air and how Satan uses those to advance the course of this world. We will use the radio and radio waves as a type to show us that if we are tuned into the Holy Spirit then we will be able to discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

3 Things to note in Ephesians 2:2

1) The course of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4 ; 1 John 2:15-17)

2)  The prince of the power of the air (Daniel 11:38 ; Job 38:35)

3)  The spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (2 Thess. 2:7 1 John 4:1-6)

Just as the radio uses waves that we cannot see and there is great power in them, there is a spiritual realm that is all around us and yet we cannot see it or the power that it has when it comes to this world. (2 Kings 6:13-17 ; Ephesians 6:12).

How can we overcome the prince of the power of the air?

As we have seen so far everything is really a spiritual battle therefore as it says in 1 John 4:6 we must be able to discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. How can we do this?

1)  Plug into the power source (Ephesians 2:6-9)

2)  Tune into the right station (Ephesians 6:17 ; Hebrews 4:12 ; Hebrews 5:12-14)

3)  Stay put (Ephesians 3:13-21)

4)  Do what God’s word says (Ephesians 2:10)
